Proven Protection for Delicate Fruits
We rigorously tested our cushion with guava and mango to ensure exceptional protection for delicate produce. Guava, chosen for its round shape and sensitive, bruise-prone skin, confirmed our cushion’s ability to protect even the most fragile fruits. Mango, a high-value fruit with an irregular shape, highlighted the versatility of our design, proving that our cushion adapts effectively to different shapes and sizes. Biodegradation Test
We are currently testing the degradation rate of our cushion material using two ASTM standards:
ASTM D5338 – for aerobic biodegradation under controlled composting conditions with thermophilic temperatures. Although this standard is specific to plastics, it provides a useful comparison in the absence of a rubber-specific test.
ASTM G154 – for UV exposure, which helps assess the material’s durability under light.
Additionally, we are working with national institutes as third-party certifiers to obtain biodegradation certifications. We aim to test the material against ASTM D6400 and EN 13432, which are suitable standards for industrial composting.
